Eligibility Criteria For Death Certificate Assam
Registration Time: Must be registered within 21 days of death.
Applied after 21 days: Failure to register death within the stipulated 21 days requires receipt of No Objection Certificate (NOC), which is granted at the time of non-receipt of death certificate for more than a year after death.

How To Apply Death Certificate Assam
Offline Process
- Applicants can apply for certificates at the receipt counter of the Public Facilitation Centre of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office.
- The operator accepts the application and gives the receipt generated on the computer of the application.
- Based on the information received from the application, a printout of the certificate is taken.
- The certificate, along with the document, is sent to the officer concerned, and after getting approval through the signature of the officer, the certificate is sent back to the receipt counter for giving it to the applicant.
