The Director of Elementary Education, Assam (DEE) has issued notices for recruitment to 5550 posts of assistant teachers in lower primary and upper primary schools.
As per the official notification dated 2nd January 2024, the DEE Assam has invited online applications from ATET and CTET pass candidates to fill up 3800 upcoming vacancies in lower primary (LP) schools and 1750 vacancies in upper primary (UP) schools.

Education Qualification of DEE Assam Tet Recruitment
1.Assistant Teacher for Lower Primary
Education qualification: Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Lower Primary School. Also, need to have at least one criteria from blow given list.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002.
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education)
Education qualification: Graduate from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B.Ed. or D.Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education). Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School.
Education qualification: B. Sc. from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education). Candidates must have passed Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for Upper Primary School.
Other Eligibility Criteria of DEE LP UP Teacher Recruitment
NIOS (ODL) Course: The candidate who has completed the 18-month D. El. Ed. course from the NIOS (ODL) will be treated at par and equally with the other candidates who have completed the 2-year course for the purpose of this recruitment process.
Nationality: Applicant must be Indian citizens and permanent resident in Assam.
Application Fee: There is no application fee for this recruitment.
Pay Scale: Rs.14,000 – Rs.70,000 plus Grade Pay
