Eligibility Criteria For DHE Assam Scholarship
The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) Merit Scholarship is a state-level scholarship scheme that is offered to meritorious students who have secured a minimum of 60% marks in the last qualifying examination. Here are the general eligibility criteria for the DHE Merit Scholarship:
The applicant must be a permanent resident of the state of Assam.
The applicant must have completed the last qualifying examination (Higher Secondary or equivalent) with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate.
The applicant should have taken admission in a recognized institution or university for a full-time undergraduate course of study.
The applicant’s annual family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakhs.
Important Documents To Be Submitted (Scanned)
PRC from DC/ S.D.O. as Proof of Domicile of State of Assam mandatory.
Income Certificate issued by Circle Officer of the State Governments is required in respect of parent(s)/ guardian(s) of the student
The students must have a valid Bank Account in their name in a Nationalized Bank. (Preferably SBI
Final mark sheet of last qualifying examinations (i.e. H.S/T.D.C.).
Photograph and Signature of the candidate.
How To Apply
Here are the steps to apply for the DHE Combined Merit Scholarship:
Visit the official website of the Directorate of Higher Education, Assam (https://dhe.assam.gov.in/).
Click on the “Scholarship” section on the homepage and select “Combined Merit Scholarship”.
Read the eligibility criteria and other important instructions carefully.
Click on the “Apply Online” button to register for the scholarship.
Fill in the required details such as personal information, academic details, and income details in the online application form.
Upload the necessary documents such as mark sheets, income certificate, and other supporting documents.
Review the application form and check for any errors.
Submit the application form online.
After submitting the application form, take a printout of the application form and keep it for future reference.
The application form and the supporting documents will be verified by the respective authorities.
If the application is approved, the scholarship amount will be disbursed to the beneficiary’s bank account directly.
