Overview of Dibrugarh University B.Ed Admission 2024-25
Dibrugarh University has commenced the online application process for admission to its B.Ed program for the academic years 2024-25. In order to be eligible for admission to Dibrugarh University and its affiliated colleges/authorized institutions, candidates must take the B.Ed Common Entrance Test (B.Ed CET), which is conducted annually. Those who wish to pursue a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree from Dibrugarh University can apply for the online application process.
Other Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for admission to the B.Ed programme at Dibrugarh University are as follows:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks (in aggregate) in either their Bachelor’s degree and/or Master’s degree in Sciences, Social Sciences, or Humanities. Alternatively, candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology from Dibrugarh University or any other university recognized by Dibrugarh University with specialization in Science and Mathematics and have secured 55% marks or an equivalent qualification are also eligible to apply.
Note: Candidates who have secured 50% or more marks in the honours/major subject but less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the courses/papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to the B.Ed. programme, as the minimum requirement is 50% marks in the aggregate.
Relaxation: In the eligibility criteria, a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying marks (or equivalent grade point) shall be provided to the candidates:
- belonging to the SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/PWD categories.
- At least 5 (five) years of teaching experience in a school recognized at least up to the 10th standard by the Board of Secondary Education, Assam.
- A candidate can avail the benefit of the relaxation of marks only in any one of the above categories.
Reservation: There will be statutory reservation under various categories as follows:

Reservation: As per the Statutory Reservation Policy.
Appearing Candidate: Candidates who have appeared in the degree final examinations are eligible to appear in the B. Ed. CET, 2024. However, admission of such candidates shall be considered as purely provisional and they shall have to submit the degree qualifying documents within the stipulated time.
