The North Eastern Council (NEC) has announced the NEC Scholarship 2024-25 for students from the North Eastern Region. This scholarship aims to provide financial support to talented students pursuing higher education.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Permanent resident of any of the North Eastern States (Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura)
• Enrolled in diploma, degree, postgraduate, MPhil, or PhD program
• Minimum 60% marks in aggregate
• Annual income from all sources shall not exceed Rs. 8.0 lakh

Application Process:

• Submit online application through NSP Portal
• Upload required documents (Permanent Residential Certificate, Income Certificate, Bank Account Pass Book)
• Take a printout of the final application form for future reference

• Income Certificate issued by the Competent Authority
• Bank Account Pass Book
• Details of qualifying examination
• Synopsis signed by the project guide / Director (Research) (M.Phil/Ph.D. candidates)
