SEBA HSLC Marking Scheme & Total Marks
The SEBA Class 10 board examination consists of 6 compulsory subjects. Each subject carries a maximum of 100 marks (including internal assessments and practicals). Therefore, the total maximum marks an Assam HSLC student can achieve is 600.
The 6 Core Subjects Include:
- First Language (MIL – Assamese, Bengali, Bodo, Hindi, etc.) or Alternative English
- Second Language (English)
- General Mathematics
- General Science
- Social Science
- Elective Subject (Advanced Maths, Geography, Computer Science, etc.)
Understanding HSLC Divisions in Assam

- 1st Division: Awarded to candidates securing 60% and above (360 marks or more out of 600).

- 3rd Division: Awarded to candidates securing between 30% and 44.99% (180 to 269 marks).
